Bowie was an incredible sci-fi music chameleon and known for his evolutionary style in music. The mercurial artist and fashion icon wore many guises through out his life. Six decades later, his influence is still seen in the fashion world and Rock & Roll today.
His flair for theatrically won him a legion of fans and after his passing in 2016, the last free reliable source for newcomers to learn of his life and legacy is his website.
The Bowie official site is an online repository for all things David Bowie but lacks a distinct brand and failed to communicate Bowie's Life and career story effectively. A more apparent content strategy would help give the site a less overwhelming experience for users as pictured below.

I decided to recreate the David Bowie website by transporting fans into space in this interactive form of story telling.
The type chosen for each chapter were carefully selected to represent Bowie's persona for each decade of his life. I drew inspiration from his fashion, personas, idols, album covers, and music videos for the graphics. Characters like Aladdin Sane, Major Tom all played considerable roles in Bowie's carreer, therefore felt the need to include them as highlights when telling his story.
